Where are you from?

I remember my first day of school in Tokyo, I was asked that exact same question, and I remember my junior high school teacher’s puzzled expression when I answered “Italy” - “Italy? Really?” - I never really thought much about it until that day. “Where are you from?” How does a 13 years old girl who was born and raised in Rome to a Japanese mother and African father answer that question? Now, many years later I just answer “Earth”

Did you always wanted to be a Makeup Artist?

Oh God, no. I had absolutely no idea Makeup Artistry was even a real job. But I knew I was very much into art since an early age, I was always surrounded by it, being raised by sculptors. I did end up getting my bachelor in art, surprise, surprise!

What's your best beauty tips?

Less is more. Let your skin breath.
Enhance your skin's glow naturally by drinking plenty of water, have a healthy diet, get enough sleep and use a good skin care regimen. Toning, moisturizing and don't forget to use sunscreen in the summer.

What is a Common makeup mistake women make?

When choosing foundation some women tend to pick the wrong shade for their skin tone. You don't want your foundation to look artificial. Foundation are meant to be nearly invisible, it should blend smoothly with your skin tone.

What's your personal style?

I'm not sure if I posses a personal style, but if I do let me just say versatile.

What are your favorite places to shop?

I just love shopping in Tokyo, whenever I'm there I always manage to go bankrupt. Harajuku and Shibuya are the "it" places. In NY I like to shop in Williamsburg Brooklyn and Soho.
